My Favorite Online Comic Book Sellers 4 4

I've wanted to say this for awhile. Greg and Austin Reece from Reeces Rare Comics are my favorite. They have a great selection and best of all accept offers. They actually send me thank you notes when I buy. I lost 80% of my income because COVID ruined my small business so I haven't been able to buy like I used to.

I have tried several online sellers. Despite Metro's "Make An Offer" option, my experience is they DON'T. So, they over price their goods and won't accept offers. I've seen "Highest Offers" on $10,000 books within $100 of the "asking" price and the book sits. I've made offers and they were simply ignored out of hand. CLINK makes me pay a buyers premium. I sort of get that as they don't seem to have their own inventory.

I also enjoyed Gregs appearance on "Pawn Stars". Rick tried to beat him down when he offered Rick a really NICE Avengers #1 (MCG) and watched Rick tell Greg about selling comic books and how it goes and Greg sent him packing. Soon as the segment started, I said to my wife "I think that's Greg Reece! Oh this is gonna be GOOD! He's not going to take any doodles from Rick!" And he didn't.

Here's another thing: I ordered a 9.6 book from them. A x4 signed The Dark Knight III: The Master Race #9 from the Frank Miller Collection. A 9.8 was accidentally sent. I called and spoke with Greg and said there was a shipping mistake and I would be happy to send it back and wait for the 9.6. Just needed to establish a protocol. He graciously allowed me to keep the 9.8! He appreciated the honesty.

So, THANKS, Greg and Austin! For treating me like a customer and a human being, not a shmucko.

i've bought several grails from him at fair prices, and i upgraded another major grail with him in a swap plus cash. all were solid deals at good prices, which can be really hard to find with most big dealers. plus he's cute.

Bob is the best. His grading is better then CGC's.

Greg Reece has great books and service.

Jim Payette is an excellent grader and nice guy. He just needs to replenish his supply of books.

Superworld Ted has had books at his site that I've never found at other sites.

Here in the UK I’ve had excellent experience with Comicanadirect and Scott’s Collectables.

Im always on the lookout for other good UK sellers if anyone else has any recommendations

I've dealt with Reese in the past through eBay, before I closed my account.  Never had a problem...great outfit.

I can't afford to buy/sell raw comics for grading...been like that for awhile.  When I wanted to buy new raw Modern's, my top to stores were Comics Elite and The Comic Mint.  If I had a problem with any of the books they sent me (and the problems were few and far between), they always worked with me.  There are other online stores I've purchased from....too many to list.  Lol.

Side Note:  Someone I haven't purchased comics from but has taken care of all my pressing needs since 2017 is 'Comics In A Flash'.  The owners name is Tony Starks...no joke.  He's on the boards as well.  He sells raws and slabs...I just haven't bought anything from him.

Jim Payette is one of the tightest graders in the business. Bedrock City is also great to deal with and has a nice inventory.

Reece has a few books I’m interested in.  Just don’t want to lowball his Ebay prices.

I would say 75% of my purchases have been on these boards in the last 2+ years. 

It's a great community for buying and selling.
