I was wondering what grade do you think this is?

Would this benefit from a press or a clean?

There is a slight crease on the left-hand side of the comic and there's notably a bend at the bottom left corner (though the front cover seems fine-ish)

8.5 to 9.0, press will take out that bend, but only raise it to 9.0 to 9.2 ..hard to tell need better scans/pics.

Don't use white background for white covers.

I think 8.5 is the best this book will do with a clean and press. The creasing in the corner will still be detectable on the white when inspected through a jeweler’s loupe as “color breaking” along with the spine ticks evident on the front cover
