PGM Showcase 4! 3 3

These are the only three pictures I have at the moment, I'm looking at buying this book, I know buyer beware and whatnot, but I'd just like a little help from ya'll, does it look trimmed or touched up?  What would you grade it?  Any help would be awesome and thanks

I will guess 4.5 unrestored and not trimmed.

 4.5 seems reasonable to me as well. dearly needs a clean and press to make it present and a 1point bump when graded

I would go 5.0 as is. Also, no way I would buy this book unless I had a guarantee there was no restoration done on it. It's just too much money to risk (for me). Sweet book, though.

Thanks for all the responses everyone, just out of curiousity, is there anything specific about this book that I should be nervous about?  Not just "any raw book is danger" type stuff, specific things with this book that look suspect

"Nervous"? "Suspect"? Well, let's see: It's an ungraded Showcase 4. Unless you already know it's had some restoration, you will likely pay FMV for an unrestored copy. Has the seller agreed to guarantee some sort of reciprocation if you sub it and get a PLOD? That would be suspect if the seller didn't. That would make me nervous. You don't want to talk about "raw book is possible danger" but want to talk about specific things that makes the book "suspect".

3.5, borderline 4.0. Possibly improvable to 4.5 with a dry clean and press.

 

Raw unrestored books of this value do get sold, but one should always be cautious when someone doesn't see fit to slab a five figure book before selling. You want to know the seller has a solid reputation, not just for honestly, but for being able to spot restoration.

Update to everyone: I have purchased this comic and it is off to by pressed and cleaned by CCS and graded by CGC.  Fingers crossed!
