We'll see how the CC 2.5 copy performs. Pretty copy shame Brittle pages though (though slight B compared to full B on the 1.8 copy)

the  full B was NOT full B - 95% of that 1.8 was really nice  --- just one of those CGC things where spine are and a bit of edges brittle, but the rest was quite nice. I remember being able to thumb thru book with no worries at all of it "falling apart"

I owned it raw and a few lower right corners of the interior pages were deemed “weak” by cgc, thus the B designation. Other than that, supple supple

Interesting question, but doubt I would’ve done much differently. Looking back 30 or 40 years ago is a different story as several life events changed which impacted my collecting habits between say ‘78 and ‘92.

Sure, investment wise there are good reasons why purchasing a major key and holding onto it would’ve been more profitable today, but that didn’t require a crystal ball in 2010.

Seriously, I suspect we all kinda knew where things were headed.  I might’ve focused a bit more on acquiring a high grade Cap #1 or Marvel Comics #1, but probably not given the price tag even then and the fact that as a high grade collector other books appealed to me more at the time.  One hot book verses several kewl books seems like a no brainer in the rear view.

Sorry if that hoses the fun, but that’s my honest opinion when I pull back the curtain.  :shy:

:tink:
