Any time you think people can't possibly get any dumber, there's always someone willing to prove you wrong.

Between eating Tide Pods, wanting men in women's sports, paying $300 a share for GME , modern 1/1 cards selling over $1M, at this point nothing about this "generation me first" ( not to be confused with #metoo) well someone paying crazy prices for  "comic rookie cards " just seems inline with the rest of all of this. Wish I could say I am surprised, but honestly I am not. Now just time to Cash In .

Are these the vintage Star Wars cards? I have a few wax boxes...

I checked that out this morning and just shook my head.  Apparently Boba Fett has a "Rookie Card".

I have news for the geeks.  Derek Jeter has a rookie card.  Tom Brady has a rookie card.  Boba Fett and Deadpool have a "Rookie Card"

Had a Grogu rookie card stickered at $2; now slide the decimal over to become a $200 Mandalorian rookie. Would love to swap a Hulk 181, AF #15, ASM #1, ASM #129 Punisher, ToS #39 high grade unpressed Gem mint rookie for those 'common' VF raw Marvel keys.

I completely agree. That long box of bagged X-Force 1's with the Deadpool Rookie card just literally turned into gold. Really.. Sold and bought gold[en age]:roflmao:

I'm buying pogs.

lol I actually spend $25 shipped for the set and spend $30 shipped on 10 unopened packs.   Figured, let's have some fun and roll the dice.

no way, dont get caught up  in the fad.  SELL SELL  SELL

The prices stayed the same from when I was looking at it last year and thought about buying it.   No one is paying attention to it. (shrug)

Once the population numbers explode I don’t see these prices sustaining. The print run of 92 Marvel Masterpieces was close to 80 million. There’s bound to be more 10’s coming from that set.

Well, since some of these so-called "rookie" cards lol from this Modern Age Marvel set with 80 million of them out there are able to sell for 4-figures :screwy:, then how much would some of the much older and surely harder to find Silver Age Marvel cards from way back in 1966 be going for in this pandemic crazed marketplace?  hm

Yeah there have always been a few cards on my want lists, but luckily most of those I managed to acquire years ago. Still just a few I really hold dear from my card collection.  20170221_164748.thumb.jpg.9cf888689d3c90cd1998cf8503509540.jpg

My favorite...   The NFL Legal Troubles Collection

The NFL Legal Troubles Collection

OJ Simpson remarked with the day of his acquittal, Aaron Hernandez, Rae Caruth, Adam PAC Man Jones, Cecil Collins, Ray Rice, and Donte Stallworth... all insert signed cards except the OJ which is PSA DNA certified.

How much is THIS worth given today's market?

Is that sheet from 1940 or the 84 reissue?

I've always wanted those Superman 1940 cards.  Either way the uncut sheet is beautiful.
