Yes, excellent Detective work (and I know)!  Now, what you have here is a "Theft" and or RSP (Receiving Stolen Property). I'm sure by now you've contacted your local PD.  Easy case here.  Case Closed.

Likelihood of traceability - 100%. Even if passed through multiple hands. And how many of those could there be, if we're just hearing about the theft?  And all for a few hundred $ in profit?

This was exactly my sentiments.  But it is possible the OP did not know they were stolen until now as they were in a storage facility.  Were there other books in the box that was stolen?  Who is the C'Link consignor?

The books originally sold on Heritage back in Aug/Sep of 2019.  Was the OP the buyer then?

I feel a mixture of...   ???   :whatthe:   hm   :frown:
