Stolen Art (San Jose, CA): Ciruelo Cabral fantasy art + art books 0

I purchased a nice little piece that was delivered by FedEx at my front door today:

Ciruelo Cabral - Fantasy Creature Illustration Original Art

Within 5 minutes of delivery, this package was stolen, along with packages containing books:

Masterpieces of Fantasy Art - by Dian Hanson (Hardcover)
Absolute Transmetropolitan Vol. 1 (New Printing) - by Warren Ellis (Hardcover)
The History of EC Comics - by Grant Geissman (Hardcover)

 

Thankfully my neighbors have a doorcam, so I have some footage of the incident.

I'll report it to the police hotline when they open tomorrow.

 

FedEx informed me that I need to contact the shippers who sold me the items.

I decided to treat myself with some items I've wanted for a while, so this experience is upsetting.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to manage this situation.

You’re off to a good start. Do you have insurance on the shipping for full value? Did you use PayPal etc? Contact everyone involved in the sale including the shipper. Hopefully you can at least get your money back.
