NYC, I think it was Big Apple con before just after they left the church basement where they had started after NYC comicon fell apart waaaaay back in the day. It could have been early Javitz but I think not. So one show had Eisner, Murphy Anderson, Carmine Infantino (he was always there), perhaps Cockrum was at that show, Julie Schwartz was there and was a dream as you would want him to be. Carmine was always hunched over and looking down from being at the drawing table all those years. Eisner was at a small table on the side, and he was happy to chat. Well, content to chat, not especially happy. He was happy to sign and then when he saw I had a few books got a bit sour. "So you want me to sign all these"...it was one spirit, one con program I think, one of these Cerebus Jams (maybe 2). but I was happy to talk to him, I knew who he was but had not read much of his stuff. I bought contract with God, dropsie ave there and some other things.

I may be confusing shows, it could have been the legendary White Plains show. They had a ton of SA artists there and some GA as well. I met BWS there and the guy in line in front of me almost fought him, they had beef from before (that guy is on here but is a lurker I believe). Good times!

this book has been around $35-$40 today and the word about the content is just getting out so I expect it to stand strong and I am confident in these copies as I am all sold so far. I haven't put any back when going over each one. I put these in the pictures as I did so you can see the adjacent books a little as well. I may add to this stacker as I may add to any at any time but I will let it sit and simmer a bit.

look how clean those photos are (even that annoying back cover, why do they design images that make the comic look like it has condition issues?) But I digress...you know how comics can look rough on photos but these are peachy keen here

I am going to add Kelley Jones and JK Snyder autographs to the signature stacker, which is getting out of control for $75. 15 signatures after this add

I will also add to the Batman and the Spider-Man and then post another TAH15 heavy stacker. This is all going to the AF15 fund, which is like a race against time as the book outpaces my revenue generating but I am in a marathon and not a sprint!

I will do a stacker tonight with all of these books! And when The Stackin' is released things large and small make their first appearances so there will be all that and more. I am watching a movie with the family so after that I will finish photo'ing the books and we will then release The Stackin'!!! Its' wrath and wonder is awe-inspiring but much damage to the local economy often follows in its wake!
