got this book recently and it was a good price. and it presents really well. while looking at the pages it has this little tear in it. was wondering how much this would effect the grade and what I should expect if I were to grade it.

would it be worth the press for the ripples in the sides?

For aesthetics I think so. I'm not sure it would improve the grade because of the rip. Plus the paper breaking bends on the cover. I have a few books I wouldn't have graded because of the expense of pressing and grading wouldn't be offset by the books overall value. But they look really sharp in a top loader!
