Popped Staple - Purple or Blue 0

How do you decide if a book with a popped staple gets a blue or green label? I've seen it go both ways and I'm bewildered...

Good morning,

I did check with our graders on this and they advised it really depends on the overall condition of the book and what the grade would be otherwise. If the book is in overall great condition and would get a very high grade outside of the staple then the graders do have the option to qualify it and the final grade would not reflect any downgrade for the missing staple but it would be noted on the label.

can i specifically request that I only want to have a blue label?

You can put your preference and our graders will take that into consideration but the final determination will be up to them.
