I don't know off of the top, but researching the GCD would be one way to find out.

GCD only found this cover. This may be the only submarine ever to grace a Batman cover?? I find that hard to believe.

We can go way back before Sub-Mariner. By the time Frank R. Paul (Marvel Comics #1 cover artist) had created his iconic 1929 Science Wonder Stories Flying Saucer cover, 17 years had already gone by since the 1912 publication of Journal des Voyages (typically credited as the first flying saucer depiction.
