Slab Gap on Sides 1 1

I recently received a CGC slab where I can slightly open the sides. The slabs looked reminiscent of the CBCS slabs where you can every so slightly, open the side of the slab. I did learn that the gap (at least for the CBCS) was not a sign that someone opened it or attempted to open it. In short, perfectly normal. The issue in question was slabbed in OCT 2013. I compared it to a slab from MAR 2021. I expect it's a change over the years. Would love to hear from members.

Normal. Slabs we're sonically sealed at the corners back then, which would crack and break upon tampering with the slab. They were not designed to be airtight. The newer CGC slabs have a more uniform seal / seam.
