CCS Pressing. Detached Staples?
1 1

2 posts in this topic

Hey team.

Need advice, submitted silver age minor key to CGC via CCS. It came (it is en-route to me shipping) with grader notes stating:

Grader Notes:
moderate cover tanning
staple detached bottom of front cover
staple detached top of front cover
very small chip out right top of front cover

The staple detachment is new and I'm obviously concerned that this has occured in pressing. Both seemed fine when submitted to CGC ( also took scans on the book prior to sending - and also featured it on Hey Buddy Can You Spare A Grade). With that in mind, has this happened to anyone else? and what is the recourse/best practice (if any) here?

This is unfortunate..I'm not sure how much recourse you have as their is always a chance I book gets damaged/altered adversely during the cleaning and/or pressing process...reach out to CCS and CGC customer service with your concerns..
