I think the real issue here is will the GA comic book market be able to handle this collection coming into the marketplace. With 5000 books with a average price of say $5000 each, it would suck out of the GA market air about $25 Million dollars, if higher average price book, then even more money. That will be the real issue here, will after say 70% of the books being sold into the GA market show some wear and tear. So when the collection hits its last 500 books will those be the "bargains" we have been looking for. Timing this sale of when and how much to purchase is the key. Why not get 5 books for the price of 3, I guess it just depends on what your want list is and what comes up for sale. What are your thoughts about the timing of buying into this collection?

One might imagine a nice glut of high grade GA hitting the market is going to suck up lots of disposable cash for the really good issues, move cash away from other auctions, put books into play as people raise cash for these books and generally create an initial wave that momentarily disrupts the market. In many ways this is good news for everyone as high grade collectors get great books, mid grade collectors potentially pick up under copies and there are bargains created elsewhere down market as the money moves to these books.

When Chuck R. unveiled the Church collection at multiple guide prices it was a feeding frenzy apparently and did little to interrupt the overall market other than drive it higher for high grade books. Can't imagine this will do anything but increase the market for high grade and create opportunities for more entry level collectors. Really a win for all concerned.

Even these lower grade books in this collection are pretty nice.

Looks like someone made the right decision not to sell his entire collection to chase the 9.4 a while back.
