First Medusa as hero not villain book?

Trying to locate what comic was the first one where Medusa was not a villain and member of Frightful Four but a hero and Inhuman.  And was it ever explained how an inhuman became a villain in the first place and associated with (shudder) humans??

She had lost her memory and was in hiding when Wizard found her and convinced her to join them. I think he came up with a way to keep her memories from coming back, but it is thirty years or more since I last read it.

I don't remember if it was all in 44 or some of it was told in flashback.  I didn't read them in order, I read them as I got them on the secondary market, and I'm sure I didn't have all the SA books in my original collection.  Some I read as reprints in MGCs.  I think she was living in a cave and called Madame Medusa at first.

My initial guess is FF 44 but @thehumantorch will know for sure!

I believe it's issue 45.

It's been a long time since I read those issues and I can't remember clearly how it went.  I think she was with the frightful 4 in issue 44 and with the Inhumans in FF45 and I don't think anything was really explained.

I was thinking more along the lines of super-heroics in the outside world, rather than the first Inhumans story arc in FF, set in Attilan.

Just a guess on my part.

I guess you could say she was acting heroically in FF45 when she tried to stop her fellow Inhumans from capturing the Human Torch for seeing the Hidden Land. At that point the Inhumans were still a neutral mystery though.

After FF45 she was only shown as acting in concert with the Inhumans royal family until... Ken's right it is Marvel Super-Heroes #15.

Some of the amnesia backstory was fleshed out/retconned in Inhumans Special #1 (1990).
