Jemin
Newly acquired looks pretty good to me. Hoping at least 9.0. What say you? Edited January 7, 2022 by Jemin Galen130
Jemin
Some added photos as I think the scans are a bit dull. (But the photos have glare so...) Galen130
Funnybooks
As is, I don't see a 9.0...more in the VF range Generalized dirt on both wraps...too many color breaking spine ticks and all four corners appear soft and some waviness The book will clean up very nicely after a C&P Jemin
Galen130
A clean/press will help get this to a 9.0, maybe more. Jemin

I didn't have this batch cleaned and pressed but I didn't notice stains when I submitted. grendelbo and Funnybooks 1
grendelbo
Thanks a lot for updating this post, a well as your other ones, with CGC certification results. I assumed these were newly graded in November or December. It's nice to see them as to gauge recent standards. I've heard grading is tight now and I've also heard the opposite. Axelrod
I think not getting the back cleaned was what really hurt this grade. It just looks a little too dirty on the back with all that white (some on the front as well, but not quite as noticable). Jemin
Zegeroth
What I am finding is that staple rust can hit hard. Your staples look like there could be issues. Every grading post needs to show staples if in the VF range or above. The staining is clearly seen on your back cover. I had this at 8.0 as I read the post. I hear and see the same opinion that there are new graders and the grades are tightening up. Maybe it implies that CGC is flattening the curve on what is given a higher grade.
