Batman #681, page 16.  Grant Morrison, Tony Daniel, and Sandu Florea.  Conclusion to Batman R.I.P.

"But that’s the thing about Batman.  Batman thinks of everything.

The superior man thinks of evil that will come and guards against it.
 –The Book of Changes

Obvious variations aside, there’s only one human body…206 bones, five major organs, 60,000 miles of blood vessels.

All it takes is time.

Days.  Months.  Years, spent memorizing the finite ways there are to hurt and break a man.  Preparing for all of them.

I’ve escaped from every conceivable deathtrap.

Ten times.  A dozen times.

I can slow my breathing and metabolism to control panic and conserve air.

Straitjacket’s kindergarten.  Locks, too.

Benchpressing a pine coffin lid through 600 pounds of loose soil that’s filling your mouth, crushing your lungs flat and shredding your dehydrated muscles?

That’s harder.

But far from impossible."

I just paid for this piece (and it's on its way to me) but I'm so excited that I wanted to share.  SUCH A COOL MOMENT.  Still gives me chills 10 years after first reading it.  And now this Bat-tastic moment is all mine.

Sweet Christmas!!!  Power Man #33 cover drawn by “Right-on” Ron Wilson and “Jazzy” John Romita, and the only TWICE-UP cover in the entire 125-issue run.  Pure mid-1970s Marvel goodness!  Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2 starring Mike Colter is now showing on Netflix, so it’s a good time to share this:

Picked up this piece by Jason Johnson Saturday. It's one of a series he drew in 2006 for a t-shirt company. I got 9 of them through Anthony Snyder several years back. I got a message from Jason on Facebook saying that he ahd found this piece in his files and would I like to purchase it. I said yes and sent him the funds via Paypal. He dropped it with Dan Frage  at the Amazing Las Vegas Con this weekend. Now to get it from Fraga.

Here are the others in the series.

A bunch of new stuff, including a few pages that have been buried away for over 30 years, most notably, one of the best Brent Anderson: Gold Loves, Man Kill pages from Marvel GN #5 (1982)

God Loves Man Kills, Shanna Splash from Rampaging Hulk, Iron Man #165 page:

Vision & Scarlet Witch #1, JG Jones Wonder Woman, and a very early Art Adams Hulk sketch from summer of 1985 when LongShot was just hitting the stands.
