Big update for me today.

4 ASM pages from Cammo.  IMO they are some of the best pages in this arc.

4 X-Men pages.  A Silvestri, 2 Leonardi pages (1 published, 1 unpublished) and a Butch Guice page

Updated the pic for my Al Williamson Edgar Rice Burroughs Portfolio Plate: John Carter of Mars: The Warlord, yesterday. New picture allows clicking to zoom in, and the first one was too light. It didn't show how much the art really pops out at you. Still not quite as awesome as seeing it in person, but what're you going to do.

I really love having this piece framed and on my wall. Owning it checks a major box for me. Link to the piece / my CAF is below. Hope you guys like taking a look at it. Being able to zoom it really adds to the online viewing experience I think.

Questions I always had about this piece. What is OA and what is composed of stats? Is the Spiderman and the city backdrop the only OA?

From the heritage listing:

Todd McFarlane Amazing Spider-Man #300 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1988).

Quote

All Spidey art and the top web are in india ink, while the lower web is a stat. The background elements (corner box, text, logo, the "300" pattern background, and cityscape) are all stats with some touch ups in ink and marker.

So that being said will Indian Ink fade over time? Will this age poorly when compared to contemporaries or those of the silver age?

India Ink is what you want on OA.  It doesn't fade.

Got it....I did read an article somewhere that was talking about some of Todd's earlier work not holding up because of some of the ink that was used. Not sure if it was Indian ink or something else.

Just added my first new art of the year to my CAF. Nine pieces, including a 1970s Toth splash, a swell Joe Kubert Enemy Ace page, a violent Bob Powell Cave Girl page, a first year Stan Lynde Rick O'Shay daily, plus Moldoff, Timm & more.
