Received two great covers by Tom Grummett. Of late he has been creating pieces loosely based on other covers changing the characters. I got his Her cover a while back and last year he did a Starfire and Teen Titans faux covers.

Everything is hand drawn from the logo to comic code, title and blurb. Check them out:

I have added some art by the very talented Joëlle Jones to my collection:

A car chase scene from Lady Killer #4 p11.

A magnificent two-page spread (shades of Hitchcock?) from Lady Killer #3 p14-15.

I was only familiar with her covers or pinups. These layouts and her "acting" are terrific. Heading over to Cadence to browse. Thanks for sharing.

Hey check that out. I haven't seen that one in a long time. As I recall, I think that one might very well have been one of if not the first piece Noto posted for sale on eBay a few years before he started as a comic pro.

It was because of this one (pretty sure it was this guy), and the Dark Knight piece Phil did, that I placed a painted Deadman commission order with him. He was still working for Disney down in FL at the time I believe. For a long time, it was the Supes, the Deadman, and the Bats piece on his site as his painted work samples.

What a blast from the past!

Steve K. bought the Deadman from me a few years back. He still has it up on CAF, for those interested...

Cool to see these pieces again. Haven't thought about them in years.

Congrats!

Thanks for the history Eric! I just got it recently and did not know the history behind it. The previous owner did provide it with lots of TLC in a museum quality frame, but I had him take it out during shipping since I was getting other art from him too.

Got the Punisher cover I lost a year ago (the seller had just sold it :ohnoez: ), what are the odds to get a second chance? :whee:

It's a very dark and gruesome piece, guess not everybody will like it:

My wife will probably think it's by far the worst piece I've ever bought :roflmao::facepalm:

I understand that. My wife doesn't like my Kubert Sgt. Rock and he's only charging the viewer.

I on the other hand think your Punisher is terrific. Congratulations.

The 1st time I saw this cover & was mesmerized by it! This cover shows all the brilliance of Wrightson's layouts, shading & artistic techniques. To me, this piece is unimprovable!

I've been looking for a Wrightson piece for years. I couldn't imagine that I'd ever own a cover. How many people in the world can say they own a Bernie Wrightson cover? I am grateful to own this piece!

Link to art below, thanks for looking! :)
