Comic Books IN Movies 1 1

I just watched the movie "Paul" and comics are all over it.

Especially the ever wonderful Invincible.

Must be a fan because there were different trades, omnibus, etc.

At the end of The Outsiders, Matt Dillon is in a convenience store. During the scene he rips up a magazine. If you look at the magazine stand there are many comics that can be identified, one being a Batman comic.

In Superbad, they were checking out the Goon.

 

Fantastic movie coupled with a fantastic comic.

Your basic Silver Age British newsstand full o' comics, from "Operation Third Form" (1966).

don't know if it's been mentioned but was recently watching The Dead Zone and an issue of Apache Kid was on a night table.

in 3 Billboards... the character Dixon (Sam Rockwell) is shown with two comic books on his desk, an issue of Incorruptible and Robot Comics #0.  In a later scene, he is shown reading the Robot Comics

in Call Me By Your Name  the character Elio has issues of Danger: Diabolik on his desk, he's seen reading an issue in a later scene.

While watching stuff on TCM tonight I noticed in the movie Alice Sweet Alice there's some shots of comics hanging in a store window, so I searched it out online and got some screenshots. Don't know what exact issues they are, but probably 1976 issues since that's when the movie was made....
