Dang!

Was looking forward to ordering this Wednesday it's original release date, but now B&N is stating it will be available Sept 29th.

I really want it to see if Super Book of Comics (Hancock edition) #NN (1948). is pictured in it.

It is a Bugs Bunny issue that reportedly is not a reprint of any of the earlier Omar editions. I have not ever seen this book (not even an image) on eBay, convention shows, not even a 'hit' on my dealer want lists after a long time of hunting!

I'm hoping an image turns up in this book. If it's not included, i'm really beginning to believe it belongs on the 'Does Not Exist' list .

Sure it wouldn't 'break the bank' but It is my Grail of grails.

Why you fellers ordering this book about comics from Barnes and Nobles when there are plenty of good COMIC BOOK stores who would be happy to sell it to you?

@MrBedrock Is this on your site? I'm looking but don't see it.

Not yet as there has not been a release date set. But I can certainly set one aside for you if you would like me to. Let me see what I can do as far as a discount.

Harley had a copy of the Bugs Super Book. It was on his wall right next to his copy of Harvey's Flash Gordon 5 :insane:

Can anyone shed some light on this? An 8 page giveaway comic I recently acquired.

It promulgates for social reform and is fascinating as it shows the Lower East Side and strife and cholera

I understand it is very rare and may perhaps be one of the toughest political comics to acquire

My copy below

Looks like it's probably from 1945, since that's when Goldstein ran for mayor.

It certainly would be rare as it would have only been distributed in one city.

Any chance of better pictures of the inner pages?

wasn't there a Bible and the Working Man posted?  was that just a dream within a dream?

Note: I took an shot of the back cover of Joe Worker: The Story of Labor from 1947 which is a pro labor tract. Notice the blurb for the CIO (Congress of Industrial Organizations) with an order form at the bottom for "The Bible and the Working Man" describing it as an "8 page picture strip leaflet in full color"

This was the ONLY comic book published by the CIO

Stephen, you know Halperin owns the 9.0 Bible?  Of course!

James Halperin::Private Collection Items

I do now and I’m not the least bit surprised, as he also owns the 8.0 copy of Jonah Goldstein.
