Yes, I was very surprised at who bought it. Obviously I priced it toooooo low.

It doesn't surprise me that George bought it....... foreheadslap.gif

Nah. He started a thread in the marketplace yesterday.

BOC, is the person who picked up the Bat #221 selling, or is it for his personal collection?

No idea. Dunno who it is. Got some clues but that's confidential info. confused-smiley-013.gif

Pre-65 stuff which there is little of is low grade.

Collection does the usual grading Tidal wave

Starts out low grade and basically gets higher as it goes.

Christo_pull_hair.gif Oh well, guess I'll be able to put some money into the kid's college fund this month. tongue.gif

Probably just as well. 500k may not be enought. poke2.gif

...So I'm hanging out today with my monkey,..shooting the breeze,...smoking some crack ,..and I tell him about the new original owner book i just bought,...and my monkey turns to me and asks,.."If it's an original owner collection, then why didn't it get a pedigree notation on the label?",...I didn't know what to tell him, ....Bob?.... confused.gif

what's the big deal with a batman 221, some new unknown 1st appearance of some crisis person?

It has an Adams cover and priced right.

Actually it is tough to find in 9.4 or better so most have to settle for a 9.2.

Nice meeting you at the con. I was able to take back the 336 and found a better and cheaper copy at Harley. I owe you one. thumbsup2.gif

You're the same guy who couldn't find the collection in my new arrivals section?

I am not a fan of putting a pedigree on a collection that

A). Is not complete

B). Does not contain enough #1's

C). The early issues are not high enough grade.

This collection while Original does not satisfy any pedigree designation by my standards.
