INTRO

June is the month of new beginnings - weddings, summer break, and new comic book regimes! That's right, my friends, that spiffy title after my signature is not a typo. It's time to print new business cards and throw me a party because the stars have aligned in my favor. There's a new female Editor in Chief at Top Cow Productions.

Some of you may think that I'm in the process of creating some sort of matriarchy. It is pretty amazing that this month we happen to have a new, all female art team on Witchblade. Strangely enough, this has been a long time in the making and the pieces just happened to fall in place now. I'm really glad, though, because when you guys are raving over it, I'm going to take all the credit. Adriana Melo, Mariah Benes, and Sonia Oback are going to knock your socks off!

To go along with my "chicks rock" theme, Fiona Avery's Rising Stars: Untouchable, the story of Special Laurel Darkhaven, reaches its poignant finale this month with beautiful artwork by Brent Anderson.

With Jim Lee and Liefeld gone, McFarlane and Silvestri not giving a [embarrassing lack of self control] and Valentino and Larsen stuck in a time warp it seems Image are probably putting out the worst material in their history.

Renae Geerlings becoming EIC of Top Cow is cool. She's really nice and gorgeous to boot tongue.gif

You couldn't possibly be further from the truth. Image has never put out as much good stuff as it is right now.

If that's the case, please point me in that direction? I'm not saying you are not right but i used to pick up pretty much the entire Wildstorm, Top Cow and McFarlane lines and now i don't see anything that appeals with the exception of Walking Dead.

Walking Dead

Invincible

Sea of Red

Girls/Ultra

Godland

Battle Hymn

Expatriote

Rex Mundi

NYC Mech

Atheist

Stardust Kid

Grounded and Strange Girl are two books that I haven't read, but that have been selling out. I've also heard good things about Fear Agent.

True Story Swear to God is moving to Image.

Granted, there are some things there that I don't expect people on this board to be into as it strays way outside traditional superhero/storytelling lines. But Godland? That's right up the alley of anyone who still loves reading cheesy Silver age superhero books.
