Understandable, as the Fox/Temerson/Holyoke relationship is rather sketchy in the first place. Haha.

Always thought that Mystery Men 3 was the go to MM book for Fox collectors to go for after Mystery Men 1.  

Doesn't appear to be the case in this just completed Heritage Auction since this copy of Mystery Men 4 ended up selling for more than the Mystery Men 3:

 

The above copy of Mystery Men 4 sold for $3,360 as compared to only $2,280 for the Mystery Men 3:

I think it's a case of buying the book and not the CGC grade.  The MM 4 looked significantly nicer (and also had better page quality) despite having the same grade.

Yes indeed, a very very early Robot cover (tied as 2nd overall in comics) and a book that appears to be extremely tough to find in grade.

I know this is sacrilege, but I prefer Mystery Men #1, 2, 4, and 5 over #3, despite the Errol Flynn/graceful posture and lines of #3.

Bought this book with a missing centerfold about 35 years ago for around $15. Just liked it. Well, it took some time but today it is now complete. Patience paid off...
