Always thought that Mystery Men 3 was the go to MM book for Fox collectors to go for after Mystery Men 1.Β Β hm

Doesn't appear to be the case in this just completed Heritage Auction since this copy of Mystery Men 4 ended up selling for more than the Mystery Men 3:

Β

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Mystery Men Comics #4 (Fox, 1939) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Off-white to white pages....

The above copy of Mystery Men 4 sold for $3,360 as compared to only $2,280 for the Mystery Men 3:Β Β :whatthe:

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Mystery Men Comics #3 (Fox, 1939) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Cream to off-white pages....

I think it's a case of buying the book and not the CGC grade.Β  The MM 4 looked significantly nicer (and also had better page quality) despite having the same grade.

I know this is sacrilege, but I prefer Mystery Men #1, 2,Β 4, and 5Β over #3, despite the Errol Flynn/gracefulΒ posture and lines of #3.
