I got the Weird 18 :acclaim: Only ever seen 1 other copy for sale and it went for the prices the Wonderworlds went tonight

 

Which ones of the Wonderworld's are you referring to? ???

 

It looks like the Weird 18 went for only $766 while both of the WW 11 and WW 12 went for about $2,600+ to $2,700+. (shrug)

 

He is talking about the last weird 18 that sold (a year ago approx)for 2500 -3000 or so. I think earl shaw sold it raw.

I guess it's a matter of not only being in the right place at the right time, but also some luck to ensure that others are not there at the same time as you. Either that or the Fox Weird market must be hitting the crapper. lol

Thanks everyone so much!! I'm pretty stoked. My max bid was quite a bit higher than what it hammered at and with what the material was going for I thought for sure I didn't have a shot but I guess I got lucky!! here is the 3.0 that sold in 2015 (thumbs u

Yes, who cares about WW 12 when the Wonderworld 11 was able to climb by more than $2K in the last 20 minutes of the auction to finish ahead of the WW 12. :o

 

Wonder what's causing this recent upsurge in interest and the prices on all of the Fox books? hm

 

anecdotally, i can tell you that after being all about my timely books for over 20 years, i am actually more enamored with my fox books thru 7/40 these days [still love the timelys]. i guess i'm far from alone on the fox love.

Nabbed this little rarity as well this week...this is one you definitely dont see every day and the cover definitely depicts its titles namesake extremely well IMO...WEIRD!!! Interiors are slightly more crude but still enjoyable...
