Any guesses as to where this not the highest graded copy of Wonderworld 15 will end up at by the time it's all said and done tomorrow night:

RAD0FEB220181019_9295.jpg

Already at an astounding and surprising $7,300 with another almost full day to go.  :whatthe:

Especially surprising since the highest that Heritage was ever able to get was only $1,150 for the CGC 8.0 graded Larson copy way back in 2005.   :takeit:

Coupled with the fact that this could also end up beating the Jon Berk / Edgar Church highest graded CGC 9.0 copy which sold for only $8K about a year and half ago.

So you’re saying these Fox books are doing well 😊

Well, at least for the Wonderworld 15 in particular, relatively much more so than most of the other Fox books in general.

Especially considering that it ended up going for more than the Church copy which was the highest graded copy by a long shot as compared to this one here. :whatthe:

ww 15 is a tuff, tuff book.  i looked at that one for a minute, as it would be a technical upgrade for me, but in the end i decided mine was nicer looking, number notwithstanding.

+1

Your lower graded copy definitely does appear to be "cleaner" and brighter which most assuredly helps with the overall visual presentation of the book.  :cloud9:  :takeit:

Anybody here lucky enough or had deep enough pockets to have picked up this nice looking copy of Mystery Men 25 in the recent CL auction:

Definitely a gorgeous looking copy relative to its assigned CGC grade.  Love the bright red cover to boot which makes it really stand out.  :luhv:

I don't know, but the Church copy was super lovely when I saw it last year.

Yes, it's most definitely hard to beat a Church copy of any book.  (thumbsu

That is, unless you've got the highest graded copy of one of these later rare HTF Fox books that doesn't have a Church copy or in fact, any other known pedigree copy, such as:

Still a nice copy, but probably could do with a bit less of the crinkling that seems to be taking place on the top edge there.  (shrug)   :cloud9:

I do love those later issues as well, decent copies are very hard to come by but mine is ok.

Not too much of a visual difference (as it should be) between your CGC 5.0 copy here as compared to Berk's former CGC 5.5 graded copy.  (thumbsu

The edges from what I can see appears to be a lot sharper on your copy as compared to Berk's copy, especially with respect to the top edge of the book. hm

This one also just came in.

Such a cool book!

Inspired by the crazy cover, I took the liberty of posting some splash pages, and the climactic scene promised on the cover -- rather less racy than hoped for. Courtesy of Comic Book Plus:

Miss Joan Mason, in jeopardy. Turns out she doesn't like horrible slimy serpents.

Green Mask: two-page splash!

By-line says George Tuska, though Comic Book Plus indicates "Pierce Rice?"

Sadly so few of the Fox books live up to the promise of the artwork on the cover, I think Timely fully delivered on the other hand, some amazing splash pages in Timely books. I do think that Fox did a very good job with the storytelling however.

Agreed. The Blue Beetle story in this issue is 14 pages long and full of twists and turns.
