I just love the cover for Science Comics #4. Those are some freaky looking creatures. From the pig-nosed, drooling, devil-like beast in diapers (in the background), to the red-hooded Mars-Attacks-like, green skinned, skull-faced alien in the foreground, whose eyes are poppin' forth from his head.

 

And these were the days before LSD?

A Board member owns the Larson (or at least he used to) - the ink couldn't dry fast enough on the check I'd write for that book! :cloud9:

 

My 4 is the Cosmic Aeroplane copy. The 2 and 3 are the Larsons. I love the cover to #2. jb

i just realized i never posted this bad boy in this thread. it was our very own g.a.tor who put this skin on my wall. right before this came the fantastic 3, and behind it came the fantastic 6, leaving only the science 4 missing from among the 4 holes mentioned when the group shots were posted, for the complete fox-thru-7/40 run.

The late middle numbers on most Fox books are tough.

 

The 21 is the Church....the Weird 20 is the Rockford.

those that know me, realize that WonderWorld 8 is one of my fav. Golden Age issues, period (top 5-10 for sure)...

I was very luckly to recently be able to pick up the Fox file copy of this issue (along with the original labeled envelope where fox stored it all these years!)...

 

thanks to Vin at metro for securing this one for me :cloud9:
