Novelty some say, but who am I to question.. SM #16--sideways

While digging in my collection, I pondered the reactions I may receive once we have all turned our heads at first to get a good look....Nostalgic?

I remember when that one came out everyone was telling me to go buy multiples because it was the first ever "sideways" issue and McFarlane's last Spider-Man. Well the sideways trend never did quite catch on, did it!

 

Nice book BTW. Looks a 9.4. Not a great scan though.

An FF in the mid 200s with a 50 or 60 cent cover was a sideways issue.

I think that was the first one I every saw of a mainstream Marvel superhero title.
