I use Avery 5/8" x 7/8" labels. Plenty of room to write price paid and grade and they generally leave no residue on the bag. No risk of the dreaded tape pull either. I also use them on my boxes to since the contents can change over time. For instance a box can contain titles "A  - C" but eventually only have room for "A - B". I simply replace the last label and never write on the box itself. I just ordered two packages (2100 labels) from Amazon last week for $14.68 with prime delivery.

That's interesting. I use these because I think those 5/8 x 7/8" are a bit too small. I put these on at an angle. These are 1" x 3/4 which is just a tiny bit larger.

Could you guys post a pic or two, I'd love to see how these look in a real life.

This is a BCW SA Bag (resealable part not used) with the Avery tag on it. The bag has been opened a couple of times which is why the resealable part hasn’t been used. (I don’t like resealable bags usually but these were all that were available at the time.)

(It’s a temp comic… the bag is not its final destination.)

On the bag, I can see how the larger ones that @sckao uses would work just fine. Lol, more space for my messy writing. :insane:

Here is what I do for the boxes. As you can see, I've changed the "P" a couple times by just putting a sticker over it.

Painter's tape or Post-Its. The Avery labels will dry out over time and will leave residue.

Yes, not perfect although I've been using them for over a decade and haven't really run into any that have. Much easier to deal with than tape but I'm intrigued by the painter's tape idea.

Try it, you'll like it.

@ PontoonHow long would you say they take to dry out? I bought a pack of Multipurpose Removable Labels from Avery (the 48 per page type) and have been using two per bag (specifically Silver & Gold Mylites 4) on each edge. Have I just basically come across a temporary taping solution?

I've made this same post a few times before.  I got this from @skypinkblu (Thanks, Sharon!  :headbang:) many, many years ago.  These are far and away the best solution I've found.  Multiple colors available.  And I've had them slip and land on comics and they come right off without a trace.
