At first glance it looks 7.0, but there's a lot of pull on that top staple and what look like staple tears on the back. I'll say 5.5/6.0, though looks nicer overall.

The Grading Bastiche says ... 6.5. One of my favorite X-Men covers.

Perhaps a 6.0 . . . can't tell from the scans how severe that trauma on the BC is

The stress at the top staple is the primary thing I would be looking at. Really need a slightly larger scan. FN+ 6.5 is my guess so far.

Looks like somebody took a 7.5 and hit the top staple area with a hammer.

That's what I was thinking. On ebay, I quote "Near mint. Very small creases on the spine but overall near mint." That's what you get for taking a chance and trusting somebody...
