My evidently rather humble plan is to just to finish out the McFarlane ASM run...  Just not sure if I want to go for an investment grade CGC slabbed #316, or just go the cheaper route and get a decent looking raw set...  Thinking I'll start with my favourite covers, and the most expensive issue (316), and then hopefully it'll also be a good excuse to visit my LCS to fill the rest in from their back-issue boxes, for $5/each if I'm lucky :).  Figure it makes sense to grab my favourites first, and then I'll be in no rush to get the rest...

Or, I could just order them all online right now, likely for the same price, but then, where's the fun in that?  So many problems!

Sticking with the 9.2.

This is my 9.0

I has subbed this book to CGC and it came back a 9.0. Even though it was never pressed, there is a very small tape pull that i think will hold it back from becoming a 9.2 with CPR. That is why I sold it to upgrade. Tape pull is circled.

If they refer to McFarlane's version as 'spaghetti webbing", I'm afraid to consider what this webbing might be compared to...  And i'm not familiar with that issue, is the idea that Jonah is inside some sort of 'mech' suit?  

And are those visible 'advertisement shadows' just printed on the other side of the cover page?  I've noticed the same thing on some Hulk #340's, where you can see what looks like the shadow of an "m&m" candy advertisement in the light blue area of the cover.  I guess this is normal with light coloured covers?

So many new GPA highs on books I was bidding/following.

I think the biggest stunner to me was the ASM 41 9.4 going for $6100.00 - @Sweet Lou 14 hope you still have my copy 😂

I sure do!  I feel very fortunate to have paid what I did.  I would have been embarrassed to bring it up myself!

It went to a very good home and that’s what counts for me, a real collector who will cherish it. Plus my 9.2 “downgrade” isn’t a bad consolation prize.

I am so glad I got a asm#300 like 3 or 4 years back from my lcs. He got a collection in that had multiple copies which he still has some left. And mine if I did get it slab I want to some day likely be a 9.6 to 9.8.

What did these close at ?  
Seems we are just seeing the spike in prices , everyone better buckle up  
And to think I paid a record high for my ASM 14 9.4 at that time . 
I can at least say that it doesn't come up in that grade very often .

i grabbed one of those "new highs."   love it!   down to one possible numerical upgrade--#11 [will always stay on the lookout for a ped bump on a book, even if lateral or maybe a notch below if still a 9 on the front].
