Well, after sitting slabbed in the Heritage vaults for more than 2 years, it looks like the 9.8 graded copy of ASM 14 is finally coming to market, exactly in accordance to Magik's original plan:

So basically a cgc 9.4!  Wonder if the price will reflect as much.

Yes, I guess similar to how the CBCS 8.5 AF 15 was being dissed by most boardies here as being an overgraded POS book.  :gossip:

And yet it ended up also being CGC 8.5 AF 15 with the buyer promptly selling it at exactly double his purchase price a few short months later.  Wonder how much a CGC 8.5 graded copy of AF 15 would be worth in today's blazing red hot AF 15 marketplace, since everybody here passed on one (except for one poor uninformed bidder who most of us laughed at and felt sorry for)  at only $77.6K less than a year ago.  doh!

Lesson clearly NOT learned and looks like there will be a lot of money left on the table once again.  hm

No story here at all.

After all, it's always up to the consignor as to when they want their books to go to auction.  As far as I know, it has always been this consignor's plan to auction his books off over a few years, starting with the GA books and then finishing up with his BA books.  No problem with HA holding onto big dollar books like Suspense 3, AF 15, or what was then the sole highest graded copy of ASM 14 as a service to the consignor.  Not so sure about the BA books though.  lol

Not sure if I would have used the same strategy from a timeline release point of view, but that's really the prerogative of the consignor and not up to the auction house.  (thumbsu
