Has anyone read this comic yet? I am curious of peoples opinion of the book as I am considering reading the title.

I read it, great art and an interesting first issue. Shows Fisk from when he was just a regular street thug, but demonstrates just how clever he was in creating the strategy to become No. 1 crime boss... Betrayal, murder and a large white man!!

 

I'd recommend it to anyone

I agree with the above post.

 

I was expecting some fluff and other "tricks" but the story seems sound to me. As well, I thought it was quite good. It showcased the personality and cunning of the character well.

I agree, it was a very good read. The art was OK, but it was very well written, and I will wait with anticipation for the second issue to come out. Highly recommended!

I liked the book. The second coming of Bruce Jones on Hulk has been a revelation, and Kingpin was a good read as well.

Just to clarify, is this book telling the tale of the Kingpins early days, pre ASM #50?

I gotta follow suite...I was plesantly surprised at this book, enjoyed the art as well as the story.

Excellent story - odd first meeting between Spider-Man and Kingpin - didn't think that Spidey's sense wouldn't clue him in on the child's predicament. Only part of the story I had problem with. Betrayal - right on! Fisk using people, manipulating them like chess pieces, very good read

I read the book last night and I enjoyed it. I always liked Kingpin and wished that Marvel would give more information about his past. Overall, the book was great and the story was good. I think they could have left Spidey out till a later issue, but it still worked well.
