:bump:

Was tracking this copy of Exciting Comics here and it sure seem to go for a pretty attractive price from my own POV or maybe I am just out of touch with the Nedor marketplace:

https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/exciting-comics-33-nedor-1944-cgc-fn-65-off-white-to-white-pages/a/122036-11218.s?type=bidnotice-tracked-endofauction

Sold for $1,800 not only in mid-grade, but also with what appears to be a bit of a rusty staple.  :whatthe:

Nevertheless, still an attractive looking copy of a WWII Black Terror Nazi bondage cover.  :luhv:

I have before that one I finished all the superhero titles of Nedor, I stopped paying attention to these prices/auctions, but I am glad to see they are getting some love still.  This is crazy but I have two copes of that and upgraded with a lower grade since the tape pull on the 6.0 bothered me. lol

Wow, it's been two years since this thread has seen any activity!!

Well, how apropos then since Heritage is having a Thrillingly Exciting Heroes of Nedor Showcase Auction tomorrow with this relatively HTF key Nedor making a rather infrequent appearance in the marketplace and currently residing in top spot in their auction here:

https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/startling-comics-10-better-publications-1941-cgc-vg-40-cream-to-off-white-pages/a/40219-83092.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Startling Comics #10 (Better Publications, 1941) CGC VG 4.0 Cream to off-white pages....

No doubt it'll end up finishing a lot higher than its current $2,500 hammer bid considering that it seems to be one of their showcase promo books and will be interesting to see where it finishes up at by the time it's all said and done.   :taptaptap:  :taptaptap:

Since my Photobucket image back in 2018 was corrupted ...PB has a tendency to do that when image owner isn't looking... here's the Schomburg Exciting (Black Terror) cover I originally posted...

A bit surprised they didn't bothered to certifiy and slab this copy of Fighting Yank 21 as it might have attracted a few more bids:  :luhv:

https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/fighting-yank-21-nedor-1947-condition-vg/a/40219-83075.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Fighting Yank #21 (Nedor, 1947) Condition: VG....

Currently sitting at a hammer bid of only $675 for a nicely presenting VG raw graded copy of this GGA lingerie cover.  hm

Reminds me a bit of the long recognized classic Blue Bettle 54 cover, but only this time with a more elegant socialite in a penthouse suite being confronted by a villian with a gun, as opposed to a more lascivious femme fatale being confronted by a common thug with just a knife.  :takeit:

With encapsulation so ensconed in the marketplace today, I guess it's really all about the covers, as evident by these two results here:  hm

https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/startling-comics-12-better-publications-1942-condition-vg/a/40219-83094.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Startling Comics #12 (Better Publications, 1942) Condition: VG....

This raw VG graded copy of Startling 12 with the Hitler, Tojo, Mussolini cover finishing at the top of the Nedor Auction with a final result of $4,400, but yet good enough to just nudged out the first appearance and origin of the Fighting Yank in a CGC 4.0 graded copy of Startling 10 with a final result of only $4,320:  :whatthe::

https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/startling-comics-10-better-publications-1941-cgc-vg-40-cream-to-off-white-pages/a/40219-83092.s?ic16=ViewItem-BrowseTabs-Auction-Archive-ArchiveSearchResults-012417&lotPosition=0|1

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Startling Comics #10 (Better Publications, 1941) CGC VG 4.0 Cream to off-white pages....

Not sure if it's just me, but I was totally expecting the graded copy of Startling 10 to finish higher than the raw "equivalent" graded copy of Startling 12 in this auction here?  hm  (shrug)
