Van Sciver drew Eobard with the "reversed" logo back in 2009 for Flash: Rebirth. It was this story where I think it started to happen for Thawne as even in Blackest Night following this, as Black Flash, Thawne had his logo reversed.

It’s van scivers variant for #4. I had him sign it when I met him in 2015. also got this piece of reverse flash done by him at that show.

Since were still on #140, a truly special event thanks to @Terry E. Gibbs Original art, and recap of how he was able to obtain it! (thumbsu   I have my copy to share again, and my earliest copy of the OPG, (1990) where the Flash took top billing over the rest of the JLA team.

Very nice copy. Just a great cover. Imitated many times even in the Flash TV series.

Very nice, I do like signed Flash books. He did a very good job on RF and his images often come up when doing random RF searches. Great Con drawing. Some look a little rushed but that one is perfect.

He was great to talk to. I got his vip package that show that included a signed print which I got the Rebirth #1 cover and this sketch. I think I paid $75-80 for it. It was well worth it to me just to get the sketch. 3 years later in 2018 he ended up drawing what we used for my wife and I’s  wedding invitations. He loved the idea of doing it and killed it for us.

Flash Fans, we are getting close to the place in my box where I decided to put the first Flash annual. I have it set right in between 141 and 142. Did I place the annual in the right position? If so it's coming up fast!

Actually the Flash Annual came out between issue #139 and #140 on Aug. 15th 1963 according to this house ad.

Then, in the the Annual itself, there’s an ad for the next Flash issue, #140 on sale Sept. 19th 1963.

Are we also going to include the 80 Page Giants that the Flash was featured in? There were at least two issues.

In this Flash Annual from 1963, there’s a little spread about how to draw the Flash by Carmine Infantino. Classic stuff!

Back in 2016 when I jumped back in with both feet, my "must have was Cinf artwork" . Met an amazing collector (judged amazing by being so generous with time not the size if the bank book")  who gave me an quick education on Cinf Flash art. There was one of the periodic droughts with it and I explored all avenues, which took me to a guy who was Carmines agent back in the late 1990s when he sold his remaining stuff. The agent kept two pieces at that time, this one and the Rouges Family portrait. So Cinf had held onto both of them right through the give it all away Julie Schwartz SA and then the market boom of the early 90s. It meant something to him.

Yep, has my vote. For many of us that was the only way we could afford the very early Flash stories in the 70s and 80s .. and into the 90s.

As promised : My son and I threw a 75th birthday party for Flash back in 2015, here's the invite and a group photo :) tons of fun!!!

That's Jax as the Flash (like father like son of course)! You can see we had a pretty good turn out for the 75 year old hero. Batman, Poison Ivy, Spider-Man, Captain America and even a Power Ranger! How much fun can you have as a dad? It doesn't get much better than this, especially if your dad happens to be a Flash Fan! I know Jay was the one turning 75 but hey, the kids didn't even know who the Golden Age Flash was, but you can bet they did by the time they left the party. I had a retrospective set up in the guest bedroom, complete with comics from each decade. Oh and a create your own Flash comic book cover contest!
