Mechanical? What, does that mean that is was printed off a printer?

Not 100% sure what a mechanical cover is, but it is not original art. It is something used in the printing process and I can believe that there can only be 1 mechanical cover, but Gil Kane's hands never touched this item.

 

Even if it was original, the art looks a little off, superman's anatomy looks wonky. I hate art with bad anatomy.

I got a responce today on a question I sent.

He says

 

The original pencil and ink are owned by someone else. This is a mechanical production with some ink and all the original lettering and wording, etc.
