What a strange cover . I've always liked it. What were they thinking? Radiation poisoning for that kid and his dog.:whatthe:

I picture of the director of The Conqueror telling John Wayne in the foreground saying “no worries” Duke. Nothing to see over there.

You just have duck under your desk and everything will be fine! (I remember those air raid drills when I was a kid.)

Mickey Mouse Book, Latter Printing by Bibo & Lang (1931)
First appearance of Mickey Mouse I believe!?

Super low grade, but absolute thrilled to own a copy.

Very cool, very early Mickey.

This one seems obscure, I don't recall seeing it before.  That fireman's axe throw looks like it's heading straight for the girl.  Not sure what the flashlight thrower was aiming at.

His way of saying, "I quit. Fires I can do, but I ain't dealin' with gangsters!"

Double posting this one: My favorite Robot cover (tied with Fantastic Comics 3 -a book i don't and probably won't ever own).

For all the cool things the Fantastic Comics 3 Robot Cover is in it's detailed genius, this one is a masterwork for it's simplicity.

Looks like a vintage French Advertising poster. :luhv:

Amazing Mystery Funnies v2 #11.jpg

Beauty!  Frank Thomas should get more love.  I first found out about him many years ago when reading a fanzine article on his work on the Owl in Crackajack Funnies.

I think, in a way, everyone would have to say that, right?

This one will have a while to wait for the “Y”. Now, usually that means 3-4 months but I doubt I’ll fall out of love that fast on this one.

Yep. We're merely temporary custodians of these treasures.
