Stoked with these two. The Captain Steve was listed as a WWII cover but I think might be a Korean war cover. Anyone know for sure?

Those are great. :applause:

Based on the hand tat, it seems Korean and not WWII.  When was it released?

Early 1950s. I want to say 1952 but haven't double checked.

Well I am just not too observant - it says May of 52 on the cover - sorry.  I think it is pretty evident it is not WWII - the date, the sleeve of the communist uniform I believe is consistent and the sickle/hammer tat.

The Steve Savage cover is just awesome, btw.

Also at the top of the cover, it says “Fighting Jets Over Korea!”

Pretty happy to find this at all, let alone in this shape, today. None on census, one lower grade went cheap on eBay recently, one lower grade went in a lot on Heritage. Ogden Whitney and (I think) Bill Ward killing it inside! This is the first issue, as it changed over from Diary Loves. Wasn't on my radar but it needed a proper home.

Now you need a G.I. Combat #4 to go with that purchase :baiting:
