Spent the day getting some of my newish graded comics filtered into the collection and rearranging things a bit.  Had to rearrange the shelves to make room for new additions, as I was out of room.  Moved some and consolidated in other rooms to make space for the core collection.  Lugging comic boxes around all day kind of sucks lol.  Tired and glad it's done....comics can be a lot of work!

Can you tell me-  Do the BCW Regular/Silver Mylar fit ok in those?  I have heard conflicting info.   I am looking to see if the Silver Age Backing Boards and the Regular/Silver Mylar from BCW fit ok in these storage boxes.

@Skizz

Cool Alex Ross! Is that a giclee on canvas? :shy: if so it's smaller than I thought it would be, but still it's an awesome portrait of DC! :headbang:

Glad you spruced up and made it HOME! :x

Small additions to my studio apartment. I didn’t previously show the bedroom area of the studio as it was pretty bland. But being locked in here for weeks on end, felt I needed to add some colour and spice to the wall.

@Skizz Very cool what you did with your apartment!

One suggestion: order some pillows for your bed! lol

Awesome!

And I like the additional images on the shelves themselves. It's the little details like that that show creativity and love of the genre.

Silly as it may seem, this is one of my favorite recent purchases. I bought the Marvel Comics wall holder from a LCS that was closing. Dug through them to get one with a nice logo. I don't have a slatted wall for it, so I just stuck it on a shelf, empty. Then I picked up this massive hologram cover from Marvel on the boards, which uses the same logo as the holder. This screams 90s Marvel to me and it's a perfect match.

I’ve been admiring everyone’s awesome comic rooms on this thread and thought I’d share mine as well. Only except, I don’t exactly have a comic room.

I live in a studio apartment with limited space that has to triple up as my bedroom, living room and office space. So I’ve tried to incorporate my comic stuff in the room as economically as possible.

Welcome to the comic corner / art gallery / library section of my studio.

I keep my original art collection in this folder.  I usually pull out the folder once every few weeks or so and stare at the art for hours at a time. If anyone is curious about the art, you can check out my comic art collection in the Comic Art Fans link below.

Here is a clearer shot of the bookshelf, if anyone is interested in seeing the books.

Let’s now move over to my bar area, which also happens to be the annex to my gallery and library corner.

Like most people I used to keep my single issue comics in comic boxes.  But I grew to really hate the look of these cardboard boxes just lying around on the floor of my studio, especially when I had female company over. But then I saw my friend storing his vinyl collection on just regular book shelves and I figured I could do the same for my single issues.

I keep my pricier comic books in toploaders or in the the Volstor boxes in the shelf.

My humble collection of key comics. It’s mostly X-Men, with some Fantastic Four for good measure.

Finally, let me take you to the couch / living room section of my studio apartment.

Like many people, I’m a gigantic fan of Jack Kirby. I can’t quite afford an original of Kirby art as yet. But I do have an Artist’s Edition from the period of Kirby’s career that I’m most drawn to.

I leave that Artist’s Edition under the coffee table so that whenever anyone who comes over and asks who my favourite artist is, I can be like “BAM!” and pull this bad boy out. So far, no one has asked that.

Thanks for checking out my humble room and collection.

Okay ... so got bored sitting at home. Bought some art and made some changes.

The art is from Alan Moore’s Tom Strong #21 by Jerry Ordway (penciller) and Richard Friend (inker).
