I got this one for $250 12 years ago because the cover is detached.  It sure presents nice though in my opinion.  I’d much rather have a defect like this vs a kid drawing all over Thor.  I just found out today that the owner of the store where I got this one from has COVID-19.  Luckily I hear his symptoms aren’t too severe.

You know, I don't know why these two characters didn't get introduced in the MCU (unless they did, and I just wasn't paying attention). In the Silver Age, these two characters showed up both in Thor and in The Avengers.

Skurge the Executioner was in Thor: Ragnarok.

You're right. I guess I didn't know his name was Skurge. Did he use his patented double-bladed battle axe? I could be wrong, but I think I remember him using guns in Thor: Ragnarok. But based on my current ability of memory, I could be WAY off-base.

ugh --- I was going through my Thor collection, scanning in images of them. Suddenly I realized that I am missing my copy of 177 from where it is supposed to be. This book is one of my old school (from when I was collecting in the 1970s) portion. So I don't think it is somewhere else and i am at a loss to figure out where it could have gone. Hoping it might be in one of the other short boxes just misplaced.

wish me luck. Not sure I want to start searching just yet.

more annoying than that is I gave it a grade of 8.0

maybe that is tonight's project.

Not sure why I said 8.0 - it is graded to a 6.0

Boom! Finally found it after getting inspired by the lost book thread on Comics General. It was simply misplaced in the box - out of position next to Thor165 instead of tucked between it's 176-178 buddies.

Jack's last issue.  He'd done interior and cover art on every issue from JIM #97 to this one.

Interesting--- even happier now that I figured out where it was. I'm a bit of a Kirby fanatic - like so many of us Marvel Silver Age collectors.
