Every age seems to have some nice covers but in general I had to go with Gold as in most of the covers from that age there is just a hell of a lot more going on on the one page than there is on so many other covers.

I went with modern. Gold would be a close second for me though. I think I favor the modern because of the bigger, flashier art. No word bubbles on covers, just some action or a simple scene.

Though I don't really collect Golden-Age, you've gotta love those classic War/ Horror/ Sci-Fi covers!

... besides, G-A "Bondage Covers" rule! :insane:;)

This question should be easy to put to rest. Let's see. when was More Fun 76 printed? The 1940's right? So that means that GA wins. You guys made this too complicated.

EC Comics published many great covers.

Wood, Frazetta, Craig, Ingels, Severin, Feldstein, Williamson, Krigstein, Davis.

I'd say Golden Age and up until the end of the Marvel pre-hero period. You get the awesome and often over the top covers of classic GA, pre-code horror, crime, war, etc and then all the pre-hero Atlas/Marvel monster books.

After that, I'd go with a tie for BA and CA covers.

A special nod to the DC SA grey tone covers :cloud9:

Awww, the poll is busted.

1) BA

2) MA

3) SA

4) CA

5) GA

While Copper Age is my fav overall, thats due to Nostalgia I'm sure.   But nuttin' beats BA covers, Bats 227, IH 181, GSX1, HOS92, GL76...simply la egendary cover era.

BRONZE AGE, Marvel especially seemed to incorporate dialogue on their covers, giving you an added glimpse into the storyline.
