Some of Marvel Comics’ earliest books, including high-grade first appearances of Dr. Doom and the Fantastic Four that are graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®), are available now. Bidding for the comic book lots in the ComicLink auction concludes August 29 through September 2, 2022.
Leading the way is a Fantastic Four #5 graded CGC 9.4. Released in 1962 by Marvel Comics, this book features the first appearance of the villain Doctor Doom. Sharing this grade with only 12 other recorded examples in the CGC Census, it is surpassed by a mere three copies graded CGC 9.6. Several days before the auction closes, bidding had reached $210,000.

Right there with Hulk is Tales of Suspense #39 graded CGC 9.2, the 1963 comic book that includes the first appearance of Iron Man. Several days before the auction closes, bidding had crossed the $105,000 mark.
Coming in fantastic fourth is Fantastic Four #1 graded CGC 7.5, with the first appearance of the Fantastic Four (Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, Thing and Human Torch).
