In 2009, he was hired by Dark Horse Comics to do a second redevelopment of Gold Key comics characters Turok, Son of Stone; Mighty Samson; Doctor Solar; Magnus, Robot Fighter; and others.

Currently, Shooter serves as Creative Director and Editor in Chief for Illustrated Media, which produces custom comics for promotion and advertising.

John Beatty is well known for his inking work at both Marvel and DC Comics. His many high-profile projects include Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars, The Thanos Quest, Captain America, The Punisher, Batman Year 3, Legends of the Dark Knight, Batman, Batman/Dracula, Superman, JLA and JLE, to name a few.
