CGC Proudly Welcomes Colorist, Writer, Editor, Producer and Publisher Renee Witterstaetter to the In-House Private Signing Lineup

Posted on 10/12/2020

CGC, with Eva Ink Artist Group, is honored to welcome comic industry multi-hyphenate Renee Witterstaetter to the CGC In-House Private Signing lineup! Witterstaetter began her comic career working on Superman at DC Comics and then at Marvel where she worked on titles like Silver Surfer, Thanos Quest, Guardians of the Galaxy, Conan the Barbarian and the Conan Saga. Witterstaetter is highly credited for her work as editor on the reintroduction of Marvel Comics’ series The Sensational She-Hulk.

Later, Witterstaetter went on to work for Topps Comics where she was the editor on X-Files, Jurassic Park, Xena and Hercules, and was the co-creator — with artist Michael Golden — on the series Spartan X. Witterstaetter has also worked alongside comic book artist Arthur Suydam on the series The Art of the Barbarian. In addition, she was a colorist on many comics, including the Avengers, Spider-Man and Captain America.

“Crazy times call for creative measures. We’ve missed you guys, and this will be a perfect way to reconnect.” Witterstaetter stated. “So glad so many of the amazing artists I work with wanted to be involved! We promise we’ve got a few surprises for this event, too! And if you have any of my books — She-Hulk, Jurassic Park, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thanos Quest, Silver Surfer — send ‘em in! It’s gonna be fun!”

For Witterstaetter’s CGC In-House Private Signing, both free and paid CGC members can submit collectibles directly to CGC headquarters in Florida. CGC will coordinate with Witterstaetter for the collectibles to be signed in late December.

If the CGC In-House Private Signing event needs to be rescheduled , CGC will securely store all submissions in its vault until the event can be rescheduled.

After Witterstaetter signs the collectibles, CGC will grade them with expedited turnaround times of three weeks for grading or six weeks for grading and pressing. Collectibles are then shipped back to their owners.

The CGC In-House Private Signing fee of $70 per item includes:

  • Renee Witterstaetter’s signature
