CGC Trading Cards Announces More Payment Flexibility & Updated Fees

CGC Trading Cards has been on the scene for only six months now, and its graders have already certified many impressive collections and numerous rarities. Recently, a Pokémon Test Print Blastoise certified by CGC Trading Cards realized an incredible $360,000, tying for the highest price ever paid for any English Pokémon card at auction.

The market for collectible trading cards is exploding, and CGC Trading cards is providing collectors with much-needed expert and impartial third-party certification services.

With increased interest and record prices comes increased demand, and CGC Trading Cards has been working hard to provide its submitters with the best possible services. Part of that is listening to customer feedback. One of the top suggestions that CGC Trading Cards has received is to charge credit cards closer to the time that submissions are ready to be shipped back to their owners.

Effective February 16, CGC Trading Cards will not charge credit cards until submissions enter the grading phase of the certification process.

With this change, the time between when credit cards are charged and when submissions are returned will be greatly reduced. CGC Trading Cards will extend this benefit to submitters who pay by credit card at least through the end of 2021.

Please note that this change only applies to credit card payments. If paying by check, please send your check with your submission to ensure efficient processing.

Along with this change, CGC Trading Cards is updating its fees to support its efforts to provide submitters with accurate, impartial and efficient services.

*Selecting sub-grades will now add five days to the turnaround time for the Bulk, Economy and Standard tiers.

All CGC Trading Cards submissions delivered on or after February 16, 2021, will be charged according to the above fees. For more details, including current turnaround times for each grading tier, please click here.

Please note that a $2 fee per card will be applied to cards that are not fully described on the submission form.
