Get Ready for the CGC Trading Cards Academy, a Free Card Grading Seminar!

CGC Trading Cards is thrilled to announce the CGC Trading Cards Academy, a first-of-its-kind event in the trading card certification industry. This seminar is an opportunity to learn card grading from CGC Trading Cards’ experts, test your knowledge, win cash prizes, submit cards and more. Plus, you’ll have a chance to receive a job offer from CGC Trading Cards!

The CGC Trading Cards Academy is taking place July 24-25, 2021, in Sarasota, Florida, at GROVE in Lakewood Ranch, a destination for dining and relaxation that happens to be minutes from CGC Trading Cards headquarters. The two-day seminar is free, with snacks, beverages, lunch and a happy hour included. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation and accommodations.*

The deadline to apply to this CGC Trading Cards Academy has passed, but CGC Trading Cards is planning future events, so stay tuned!

The CGC Trading Cards Academy syllabus includes Card Grading 101, Authentication, Grading Technology, Alterations and Counterfeits and more. At the end of the seminar, there will be a card grading test for cash prizes: $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place and $250 for third place. All attendees will receive plenty of CGC Trading Cards swag and a CGC Trading Cards Academy Diploma to keep.

In addition, CGC Trading Cards will be making compelling job offers based on test performance and demonstrated card grading skill. This is not only an incredible opportunity to see what it means to be a card grader, but also to become one yourself!

CGC Trading Cards Academy attendees will also be able to submit cards and other collectibles for grading during the seminar. Simply become a CGC Associate member or higher before the seminar and fill out the CGC Trading Cards online submission form. Then, package your cards with your completed submission form. Other collectibles that you may submit for grading include sports cards (CSG®), comics (CGC®), coins (NGC®) and paper money (PMG®). Membership to any one of the Certified Collectibles Group® (CCG®) companies gives you submission privileges to all.

You do not need to be a CGC member to apply or attend, and there is no fee for the CGC Trading Cards Academy. However, you must be 18 years of age to apply and attend.
