The popular online marketplace StockX is now offering CGC-graded comic books.

Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) is excited to share that StockX — the popular online marketplace that started with sneakers and quickly expanded to other collectibles — is now offering CGC-graded comic books on its platform. Through StockX, collectors can buy and sell more than 200 key issue releases, with the confidence in authenticity and condition that CGC grading provides.

StockX plans to focus its catalog on rare vintage and modern key issue comic books, all graded by CGC. Examples include the first Star Wars comic book and the first appearances of Black Panther and Harley Quinn.

According to Greg Schwartz, StockX Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer: “Just like our sneaker and streetwear customers, the comic book collector on StockX seeks products that not only carry cultural significance and meaning, but also serve as an investment opportunity.”

CGC is the definitive leader in comic book certification worldwide. To help meet collector expectations, every book bought and sold on StockX must be graded by CGC. In all of its categories, StockX emphasizes authenticity, and CGC’s accurate and impartial grading and state-of-the art protective holders align with StockX’s rigorous standards, while adding value and liquidity to comic books.

“As the company that revolutionized comic book collecting more than 20 years ago, CGC is glad to help StockX ensure its new comic book category is a success,” commented Harshen Patel, CGC Vice President. “Comic book collectors trust CGC and that will go far toward collectors embracing StockX.”
