ComicConnect Handing Out $2.7M at New York Comic Con

Posted on 10/9/2012

The world record-holding auction house, ComicConnect, will be writing millions of dollars in advance checks for their upcoming auctions.

“I have $2.7 million and a stack of checks. Bring your comics and original comic art for a future auction and I will pay you today — why wait?” asked Rob Reynolds, director of consignments at ComicConnect.

The company will be displaying highlights from their upcoming Fall Event Auction, including a copy of Action Comics #1 CGC 2.0, featuring the first appearance of Superman, and a copy of Detective Comics #27 CGC 3.0, the first Batman sighting. “I’ll have many of my best consignments on display at the show. I encourage all comic fans to stop by booth 629 and take a gander at some of the world’s most valuable comics and comic art,” Reynolds said.

“Bring your consignments to my booth; leave with a check in hand,” he added.

Metropolis Collectibles, ComicConnect’s sister company, will be set up at booth 625 with a wide selection of their inventory. If you would like them to bring specific comics for you, please contact Frank Cwiklik at or call him at 212-260-4147 (ext. 10). He will be buying as well, so stop by for a cash offer.

New York Comic Con is held at the Jacob Javits Center Oct. 11–14, 2012. For more information, go to
