International Comic Exchange (ICE) continues strong growth, lands key consignment issues.

“Any time you can list high grade CGC copies of Incredible Hulk #1 (CGC 7.0), Military Comics #1 (CGC 8.0) and ‘Canadian White’ keys like Active Comics #1 (CGC 0.5) all in the same week I’d say you’re doing fine” notes ICE administrator Marty Birthelmer.
“We’re barely three months old and we’ve been pleasantly surprised by the response so far. We’re currently working on several consignment deals that would deliver some truly amazing books to the site.” Birthelmer adds we should “stay tuned”.
ICE continues to post new listings every Wednesday. The site’s first perfect CGC 10.0 (Double Edge Alpha #1) has been added as has their first CGC 9.9 (Amazing Spider-Man #312).
The comic convention season is just about to get under way and ICE tentatively will be setting up at July’s Montreal Comicon and September’s Toronto Fan Expo. “We are looking at setting up at a few more shows this year and hope to make it to a couple of U.S. shows in due time. I’m sure I can firm up some dates for the next newsletter” says ICE’s Marty Birthelmer.
