Yet another set of Steranko-signed books

Based on appearances, I expected the Hulk to grade higher than the Capitan America. Figured Cap would max out around 7.0. The Cap is the only graded copy out there & the cover was painted/modified by a Spanish artist Rafael López Espi. Steranko believes it started by tracing elements of his original cover since the original art was not available to be used. The Nick Fury is a beaut. taken out of an 8.5 1st gen slab & cleaned/pressed.

My new comic The Crimebusters #6 ends on Kickstarter tomorrow! Guest starring...

The Kickstarter for my new comic The Crimebusters #6 ends tomorrow, and I spent the week working on the back cover. This issue has a guest appearance by Joe and Frank Hardy. The Hardy Boys entered the public domain last year, though I haven't seen anyone else use them yet.  The name "The Hardy Boys" is still trademarked, so I can't use that on the cover. But I wanted to capture the feel, so I did an homage to the cover of their first book, which was drawn by Walter S. Rogers. That art

Neal Adams database compiled by Dover

I have spent a great deal of time putting this together. It has been a labor of love, tedious and still not finished. But I do think it is to the point of sharing. Perhaps I can use additional input to continue to update, correct and add to it. I have used many resources in generating this.  @mycomicshop Mike's Amazing World of Comics, the CGC Registry (originally generated by @mrlatko and myself) the GCD Index and more.  There are multiple tabs within this Excel sheet. Peanuts - Scoop from 1967 San Francisco Press Club Yearbook

I purchased this her, on the CGC Boards from @sfcityduck on 12/5/2023. Scoop 1967  Scoop is the annual yearbook of the San Francisco Press Club.  In 1967, Charles Schulz was featured.  These yearbooks are a very interesting document of their time - full of famous strippers (Carol Doda, etc.), actresses and beauty queens (Dinah Shore, etc.) - and featuring in their respective issues photos and articles and art about and by Schulz and Caniff, as well as tribute cartoons by other artists

Who Watches the Watchmen

Most self-appointed grading consists of consumer recognition of trusted third-party attestors. The trust is implied, but not backed by any credentialed certification or impartiality, and is lacking protocols to address the central question concerning "who verifies the verifier?" The original intent of graders was to safeguard protocols from a vulnerability previously thought to be impossible to address in peer-to-peer trading without some third-party grader acting as a verification che

My new comic is here!

My new comic, The Crimebusters #6, is now live on Kickstarter! This one has been a lot of fun to work on. I love using public domain characters, so besides Crimebuster himself, this time around we've got Uncle Sam, Richard Upton Pickman from the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, and even The Hardy Boys, who slipped into the public domain last year a bit under the radar!  I've also got some really swell variant covers, including a cool 5th Anniversary Cover. Yes, it's been 5 years now since Th
